1. Empowering countries to protect their people against influenza threats.
  2. Partnering with countries for strengthening their national pandemic influenza preparedness and response capacities through and in synergy with public private partnerships aligned with the national policies, strategies and plans as well as global and regional initiatives.
  3. Improving health of the people by supporting preventive segments of the national and regional pandemic influenza preparedness programs through research and capacity strengthening interventions, in particular improving influenza vaccination practices.
  4. Reducing the burden of influenza through targeted advocacy and informed communication with program managers, health systems, health care workers and general public through scientific research and social mobilization for behaviour change in respect of influenza vaccination aligned with the objectives of the national, regional and global influenza programs
