Ready2Respond

Ready2Respond, an initiative of The Task Force for Global Health, is a global coalition of stakeholders and experts across the public, private, and non-profit sectors who work on influenza and pandemic preparedness. The mission of Ready2Respond is to assure the world’s readiness to respond to the next pandemic through transformative change in vaccine access and immunization policy with a focus on low- and middle-income countries. To accomplish this, Ready2Respond creates operational solutions to fill gaps in planning and deployment of vaccination programs, utilizing our partners to transfer models and tools to decision makers across countries. The work of Ready2Respond will enable countries to use seasonal influenza vaccination as a vehicle to build and test national plans for respiratory virus pandemics such as COVID-19.

The Partnership for Influenza Vaccine Introduction (PIVI)

The Partnership for Influenza Vaccine Introduction (PIVI) is a key program of The Task Force for Global Health. An innovative public-private program, PIVI works in partnership with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), Ministries of Health, corporate partners and others to create sustainable, seasonal influenza vaccination programs in low- and middle-income countries. PIVI works in concert with WHO programs to help countries prepare for pandemic influenza and to support countries’ efforts to control and prevent seasonal influenza. PIVI assists each partner country with a multi-year plan for influenza vaccination through technical assistance and time-limited provision of donated or low-cost vaccines.
